My FAVORITE Things

Okay, here goes as per Dani's request. A few of my favorite things. You're gonna think I'm weird! This is probably my number one favorite thing of all time. This can make the day go so much better, faster, smoother. If I'm stressed out, I just open one of these babies and all of a sudden everything is better. Instantly.
Favorite thing #2...Yes Baby Einstein. And not just any...it has to be this one. This is the one and only thing that can get my son to sit down for more than 2 minutes. He will calmly sit with his hands in his lap with a perfectly content look on his face. When he says "BUS! I want Bus!" we are more than happy to put it on for him because it means we now have time to clean up any previous messes he just made or made hours ago and he is OUT of the pantry and OUT of trouble! My best regards for whoever was responsible for this movie!
What can I say? Favorite thing #3...I love my phone. That's all there is to it. Yes, I have been accused WAY TOO MUCH about screening calls and not answering my phone, but I do love it regardless. Travis calls it my calculator. It keeps me in touch with all my family and friends as well as all my "oh so important" appointments. It's great. You should get one.
Favorite thing #4. These are Stampin Up markers. 48 to be exact. These are the greatest thing that ever existed to scrapbooking, stamping, card-making, crafting. Just looking at the picture makes me smile and makes me want to run to the craft room just to write my name in eggplant envy or artichoke. One end has a fine tip, the other a wider tip. It's the best investment I ever made in all my scrapbooking supplies and I'd do it again. I'm actually getting ready to purchase another set but don't tell my husband!
Favorite thing #5--These aren't the exact ones I love. I love the white powdered doughnuts and these in combination with favorite thing #1 is like the best thing in the whole wide world. I usually eat this combo at least once a month. You can probably guess when. Next time you get to savor a white powdered doughnut make sure you think of me. One time I was feeding this combo to my daycare and a parent came in. I felt a little sheepish about it (luckily it was my sister-in-law) and all I could say was "sugar and caffeine makes a happy daycare!" And we looked at all the kids with their little white powdered dirty mouths with a little diet DP drool and they were all smiling super big. Need I say more???
Favorite thing #6. I love this stuff. Mary Kay Oil Free Eye Make-up Remover. I use it every morning...yes morning because I'm not good and I don't wash my face at night. If I were Oprah, I'd get you all one of these! Except maybe not Shelly for obvious reasons. It's my miracle beauty product. And for all you smart allecs out there...no it does NOT make your eyes squinty!
Favorite thing #7. This CD can get me through any car ride or moment. I have to say though I'm not a big fan of the seduction song that everybody loves so much "make a memory" However, I love Summertime, Whole lot of leav'in, and Tyler loves Till We Aren't Strangers Anymore. She always asks for her favorite the song, the one "where the boy and the girl sing."!

Okay, my last favorite thing. Anybody that knows me at all knows this is my favorite movie of all time. Just looking at it makes me want to round up my entire daycare right now and make them watch it. I bought it on video and dvd. I love the singing, I love the dancing, I love Julie Andrews, and I love to think how I used to watch this several times a day one summer. I mean, come on, how can you not want to climb every mountain after watching this!!! (cheesy, I know!)

So there you go Dani. Hope you liked it. I might try to think of some other things sometime but you should feel lucky I even got this far!

Cayman Islands Trip

Okay...I hate to say it but I don't have any great Cayman pictures on my computer. I do have some great pictures but most of them were ones that Matt or Lorie took. But if you want to know...we had a great time. It was warm, sunny, the people there are so nice and it was great to get away! We saw a lot of great things while we were there. There was some really fun snorkeling...we snorkeled to a shipwreck, a place called the drop-off and yes, it did remind me exactly of NEMO and snorkeled with sting rays. It was great! We had plenty of pina coladas (yes virgin) and lots of great food. It was hard to come back a few pounds heavier and also have to cook again! Anyway, if I figure out how to get some good pictures on here, I will!
