Sunny Florida

All I can think about in this picture is that I look so chunky! Time to get on that treadmill again!

Travis and I headed to Florida shortly after the antelope trip. It was a lot of fun and I really had a hard time wanting to come home. There was a huge snow storm while we were gone! It was hard to imagine though in Florida because it was so hot and sunny and the ocean was so warm. We met up with a couple of other couples from Montana for the trip. I don't know why I can't get over this...but I just thought it was so funny that the first thing we saw when we got to the hotel was a big budweiser sign with a deere on it. Everything was decked out John Deere...flags outside...table cloths and napkins...tractors parked everywhere...

The first day we went on a safari on a big tour boat. We saw lots of wildlife and alligators. It was a lot of fun but it was really hot! The next day the guys headed to class so us ladies (Susie, Jill and I) headed to the beach. We stayed all day and it was so relaxing and great.

The next day we headed to a big outlet mall and shopped...we found some great deals and some not so great deals but it was a lot of fun. We also met up with this lady who had a boob job and she was quite a kick. This night we went to dinner at Ruth's Chris which Travis was so excited about because it is Sean Hannity's favorite restaurant. That's all he could talk about the whole time.

The last day we went to an aquarium and just kinda relaxed and putted around. We actually spent this day with our husbands. On Sunday we flew out...we came back to cold weather and lots of snow in Billings. I realized on the way home from Billings that I had left my entire bathroom bag at the hotel in Florida. I am still waiting for them to send it to me!

The annual Antelope Hunt

Well a few weeks ago we all headed to Casper for the annual antelope hunt. This year was a little different than years past in that I actually joined in the family fun and Lisa went too. Grandpa wasn't able to come this year. We all stayed in a hotel and got up early to go antelope hunting. Trent and his girls were already camping in the hunting vicinity. I have to say it was pretty easy hunting--we basically looked for the antelope from the truck and there wasn't a whole lot of walking or hiking involved. Everybody shot one and the kids always love watching them get gutted out and even like to carry the chopped off legs around and stuff. (WEIRD) Anyway, all this time I've been thinking that I am going to have to teach my son to not hunt...but by the look on his face when I took him to see the dead animal, I may not have to teach him anything at all! He was pretty disgusted about the whole thing!

Curly Q Kylie

Well, here's Kylie getting her first perm. I thought it might help with the "lack of hair" issue and help it look a little fuller. She looks really cute with it. We recruited Bri to come give her the perm. Kylie kept saying she was not ever going to get one again because the chemicals stink, but I think she will. It was a little time consuming on Bri's part and Kylie was getting tired of holding still, but I think it was very worth it. What do you think? The picture of her after it was all said and done was the first day of school.

WHO did it?

So the same day we did the white powdered donut thing, I left to run an errand and while I was gone, Toby, Chance, Asher (Mona's son) and CJ got into Mona's purse and played with her mascara. CJ actually looks like he got black streaks put in his hair. Asher is too little to do anything so I'm pretty sure Toby was the perpetrator here. The funny thing is when Mona asked the boys who did it, CJ and Chance pointed to Toby. Mona asked Toby who did it and he said "Halle did it!" Well the funniest thing about that is that Halle wasn't even there that day. Looks like our next FHE will be on lying!!! I think they actually got some mascara on Asher's eyelashes...

Big Tractor!

Toby LOVES to ride in the tractor with Travis. If he hears the tractor start up and he's not there he screams and runs outside yelling "tractor! tractor!" The funniest thing to watch is when he's rideing around in the tractor sucking his thumb. He actually sucks his thumb a lot still. I'm trying not to be nervous about it!

Toddler Rules (Toby rules!)

I saw this poem in the DFS office today and it made me think of every toddler in my daycare and Toby especially so when I got home I looked it up on the internet so I could post it on this blog. You might think it's true if you have a toddler!

White Doughnuts!!!

My friend Ramona and I fed the kids white powdered doughnuts for snack one day and it ended up being a little more than we bargained for! After they ate we had to bathe them all and wash all their clothes! They sure enjoyed the doughnuts though and you can tell by the look on their faces and all the powder left.

Big Tractor

I just want to say that today we dropped by John Deere to talk to Trav about something and to get a sucker for all the kids. It just so happened that Travis was getting ready to unload a big tractor off a semi and so he took Toby to "help" him. The tractor had what they call a buddy seat that Tobes got to sit in. He LOVED sitting there and riding in the big tractor. I got out of the car to watch and when he saw me, he pressed his face against the window and said,"mommy, big tractor!" in his Toby kind of talk. It was the cutest thing I ever saw. I wish I'd had a picture! 10-24-08
