Boysen Reservoir

We went to Boysen Reservoir over the 4th of July. We had a great time camping and playing in the lake. The campground was awesome because we had a little park right by where we were camped and the kids loved to play there when we were at the campground. We spent most of our time at the lake though. It was a really fun lake to be on...we found several little beaches at different times and the kids loved swimming. Travis fished and caught some big rainbow trout (about 5 lbs)and it was just a lot of fun. We had a great time spending time together as a family. I don't think we've ever gone out on the boat just our family since we bought it. Kylie waterskiied and tubed. Toby is still a little shy about the water but he loved jumping off the back of the boat to me. It was so hot so we wanted to be in the water as much as possible. It was a ways to go and we were quite a sight pulling the trailer and the boat but it was worth all the fun we had!

Tyler and Toby enjoying some marshmellows after dinner. Toby's goal is always to get as dirty as possible!

Kamryn sporting her fourth of July swimsuit. She cried after we got done boating on Saturday because she wanted to stay another night in the camper.

Kylie trying to make the goofiest look possible.

Travis with his girls enjoying the roasting.

Tyler in her lifejacket on the boat. I don't know if she thinks she is smiling or what but she was loving life on the boat. I kept asking her if we should go home and do daycare and she said "no, I want to go camping!"

Toby didn't love being in the water but he did try going in the tube a little but he mostly just cried for me and asked to "dup" which means jump and would constantly tell me "a tun" which means my turn.

Me enjoying the sun. I have to say the whole boating experience was very relaxing. Probably more for me than it should have been!

Toby loves to drive the boat. He is in the drivers seat whenever we'll let him be there. I think Breckin taught him to love driving...however, I think Breckin is a little better at it and not as meddling. Toby has been known to break CDs and on this trip after driving the truck...he shoved who knows how many CDs into Travis's CD player! We still haven't figured out how to fix that one.

This was the first fish Travis caught or got to the boat at least. It was a beautiful fish. We let it go.

This is the fish that Kylie caught on her pole. She had to have Travis reel it in after a while because it was putting up a big fight!

Kylie loved tubing. She is definitely our adventurous one. Nobody else tubed or skiied.

Kylie loved waterskiing. She found out she really can get up in the middle of the lake. She did a great job skiing and would have liked to do it again but we ran out of time. Luckily there will be other chances this summer.

Hannah Montana?

Hannah Montana? NO. And it's not Grandpa John either. It is however the same wig as seen in previous pictures. Bri and I sorta thought he looked like Claire in this picture. When I look at the picture now though all I see is a little doll. He almost looks fake!

Since this isn't just a TOBY blog :)

Being a new house, we have all these big piles of dirt everywhere outside. The girls have learned they can sled down them and have even practiced snowboarding on the sled. These dirt hills have provided hours of fun for every kid that has been out here. The hill in this picture however no longer exists...however, there are plenty of other ones around!

At my daycare, I have this thing about putting stickers on our heads when we celebrate special occasions. It's the loser coming out in me...what can I say? Here are some pictures of Leap DAY (WOW, CAN YOU BELIEVE ALL THE KIDS?) and also some of our little Easter party. Yes, I've been so behind in my blogging!

Tractor!

Okay, all I can say is Toby was definitely born into the right family because he is infatuated with tractors. He looks for them when we go anywhere in the car and we can't go by John Deere without pulling in to the parking lot so he can see the tractors. For his birthday we had a John Deere theme. Lisa of course made the cake because we love to utilize her talent. Toby LOVED the cake and pointed out the tractor to everyone that would listen to him. So here's a few pictures of Toby and tractors. And the big tractor he got for his birthday was a hit with all the kids. He also has this habit of bringing in his tractors with their buckets full of dirt and leaving little piles all over the living room. This doesn't exactly make me happy...I am constantly vacuuming up little piles of dirt here and there. I think it's time to implement a "naughty chair".

Toby Lingo

Okay...so how about a little Toby Lingo since I still haven't downloaded any pictures yet. (I've got some really cute ones too...)

Toby just turned 2 and he is starting to throw tantrums like a 2-year old along with an occasional hit. He does say quite a few words but it is sometimes really hard to understand him. No can mean no and yes. He is starting to say yeah and yes sometimes which is very helpful. Can you guess what these words are?

a my = airplane
bish = fish
babope = antelope
jact-o= tractor (the most popular word in his vocabulary)
ee a = Lisa although it's also the same for pizza
i-lo = Tyler
i-lee=Kylie and Kamryn but sometimes he'll call her mamin
baby= Toby
a-0h=cracker
ear doe = here we go!
ide = slide
pop = anything liquid including rivers, lakes, sacrament water...you name it, it's pop.
bup = cup

So anyway, it's actually all really adorable. Actually everything about him is usually adorable to me. I never could understand how I could love a boy after three girls but I just love him so much and I think I went through a mild depression when he turned 2. Very similar to the one I went through when Tyler turned 1. A part of me is so incredibly sad that I won't be having any more children but then sometimes I feel very relieved at the fact too. I have to say the "tween" years are already killing me.
