Summer Adventures

It seems like we went so many places over the summer. We counted several states we were in through all our travels including Montana, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Idaho, Utah, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa! We traveled to Missouri for a clogging expedition which was a lot of fun with our older girls and niece. And we took a trip to Idaho Falls to check out a job there with the whole family which was a lot of fun also!

The kids posing for a quick picture outside of TGI Fridays in Idaho Falls. Friday is Toby's favorite day and he is quick to remind us every day of the week!

Tyler and Kamryn riding the tiger at the Idaho Falls Zoo which we bought an annual pass to...luckily the pass also gets us in to the Sioux Falls Zoo for free!

Tyler and Tobes on our way to Minnesota. We waited 2 1/2 hrs for the tire mechanic to come fix our blown tire. It was hot and we did all survive but we were tired of waiting!

Kylie, Carly Brown, Richelle Phister, Taytum, Kram, and Mariah Phister outside our cabin in Branson. This was our last day in Branson!

Trav and me with girls after a show. They did 24 shows in Silver Dollar City!

Tired and hot but still smiling...well sorta!

Sioux Falls Zoo

Toby claims the giraffes were his favorite!

Eating lunch...

Toby in the flamingo house. He kept saying..."mom, they are standing on one foot!"

Pipestone, Minnesota

Pipestone...our new home for the time being! It has been 2 years since I have posted anything so I thought it was time I got back in the groove. I have no excuses now since I am not working! Here's some pics of the kids first day of school here.

Kram 5th grade

Kylie 7th grade

Windmills are a big thing here. I took this picture of a bunch of restored windmills just outside of Jasper MN for my dad. They are interesting to watch and beautiful! They really change the landscape!

This is just a quick picture I took when Pipestone flooded a few weeks ago. This was a couple days after so the water had gone down alot! We were very lucky that our home didn't flood and many prayers of thanks were offered up!

I've been good this year Santa!

Wednesday night was our ward party and Ty and Lisa took our kids. (We owe them big time!) It was also the night of the John Deere Christmas party so we were not able to go to the ward party. The kids all got to sit on Santa's lap and my friend Becky took pictures for me. It looks like they had fun but Toby looks a little uneasy...maybe because he knows he wasn't so good this year! ha ha. They all came home with bags of candy which I wasn't too excited about especially since I've been finding wrappers everywhere that the kids have been sneaking candy all over the house!

Trick or Treat!

Here's Halloween 2008! Toby was a bat--Tyler the Little Mermaid--Kamryn a BRATZ cheerleader--Kylie a scarecrow. We had a fun time and it was fun to watch Toby after he figured out he was getting candy. We did have one meltdown downtown due to NO NAP! It was a very busy day and started with Grandma Geri's funeral. This is a completely useless holiday but it was still fun. I only gained a "few" pounds eating all the Halloween candy. And I'm not sure what the whole deal is with Tyler's new smile but it's pretty funny and cute all in one. I'm glad she's no longer hiding and crying for pictures!

Sweetheart TAG

What is your husband's name? Travis Dwayne Sessions

How long have you guys been married? 12.5 years
How long did you date? about 5 months...seriously
How old is he? 34
Who is taller? ha, good question. I think it's obvious he is.
Who can sing best? Travis without a question
Who is smarter? Travis for sure. All I know how to do is count to 20 and sing the ABC's!
Who does laundry? me but I don't touch the hunting "no scent" stuff.
Who pays the bills? Travis, thank goodness. I was happy to give him the stress.
Who cooks dinner? me when I cook.
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Is this a trick question?
Who kissed whom first? Travis but it's really funny because he gave me a peck and then he RAN! I bet he wishes he kept on running!

6 QUIRKS

Okay...I know I'm a little late but I am supposed to tell you six quirks about myself. I've been thinking long and hard about this and I think they are mostly 6 complaints!

1--I can't drive over 4 miles over the speed limit without being really paranoid.

2--I have to drink a pop every single day. Even if it means breaking the Sabbath to get one. I"m not too particularly proud of this one.

3--I hardly ever cry. The only time I really cry is if I am extremely pissed off. I'm pretty sure the only one that can tick me off that much is Travis. Therefore, he's pretty much the only one that sees me cry when I do. This has been a little more moderated with medication so crying is pretty much non-existent for me.

4--I like to have my bed made every day.

5--I can't use public restrooms. Mostly fast food restrooms. They made me puke when I was pregnant with Kylie and every pregnancy after. I have been known to puke still to this day.

6--The perfect schedule for me would be to sleep from 2AM to 11PM. I am a night owl. However, this is not a good schedule when you have kids or when you run a daycare. Or if you have a husband that believes in certain scriptures. (early to bed, early to rise!)

Sunny Florida

All I can think about in this picture is that I look so chunky! Time to get on that treadmill again!

Travis and I headed to Florida shortly after the antelope trip. It was a lot of fun and I really had a hard time wanting to come home. There was a huge snow storm while we were gone! It was hard to imagine though in Florida because it was so hot and sunny and the ocean was so warm. We met up with a couple of other couples from Montana for the trip. I don't know why I can't get over this...but I just thought it was so funny that the first thing we saw when we got to the hotel was a big budweiser sign with a deere on it. Everything was decked out John Deere...flags outside...table cloths and napkins...tractors parked everywhere...

The first day we went on a safari on a big tour boat. We saw lots of wildlife and alligators. It was a lot of fun but it was really hot! The next day the guys headed to class so us ladies (Susie, Jill and I) headed to the beach. We stayed all day and it was so relaxing and great.

The next day we headed to a big outlet mall and shopped...we found some great deals and some not so great deals but it was a lot of fun. We also met up with this lady who had a boob job and she was quite a kick. This night we went to dinner at Ruth's Chris which Travis was so excited about because it is Sean Hannity's favorite restaurant. That's all he could talk about the whole time.

The last day we went to an aquarium and just kinda relaxed and putted around. We actually spent this day with our husbands. On Sunday we flew out...we came back to cold weather and lots of snow in Billings. I realized on the way home from Billings that I had left my entire bathroom bag at the hotel in Florida. I am still waiting for them to send it to me!

The annual Antelope Hunt

Well a few weeks ago we all headed to Casper for the annual antelope hunt. This year was a little different than years past in that I actually joined in the family fun and Lisa went too. Grandpa wasn't able to come this year. We all stayed in a hotel and got up early to go antelope hunting. Trent and his girls were already camping in the hunting vicinity. I have to say it was pretty easy hunting--we basically looked for the antelope from the truck and there wasn't a whole lot of walking or hiking involved. Everybody shot one and the kids always love watching them get gutted out and even like to carry the chopped off legs around and stuff. (WEIRD) Anyway, all this time I've been thinking that I am going to have to teach my son to not hunt...but by the look on his face when I took him to see the dead animal, I may not have to teach him anything at all! He was pretty disgusted about the whole thing!

Curly Q Kylie

Well, here's Kylie getting her first perm. I thought it might help with the "lack of hair" issue and help it look a little fuller. She looks really cute with it. We recruited Bri to come give her the perm. Kylie kept saying she was not ever going to get one again because the chemicals stink, but I think she will. It was a little time consuming on Bri's part and Kylie was getting tired of holding still, but I think it was very worth it. What do you think? The picture of her after it was all said and done was the first day of school.
